Felicia Sanders Project

To honor our beloved teacher, Felicia Sanders, we are starting a project in her name. Please read about it below (2 min read).

Felicia Sanders came to South Lane Dance Academy almost 14 years ago. She instantly became an integral part of our training program. Her constant care for our students was palpable. We could visibly see students progressing, not only in technique, but as individuals. Students understanding and accepting their bodies in a more positive and grateful way was a focus for her and she was succeeding in those efforts. We are so grateful for the knowledge and time she spent with our students.

Felicia's students have been changed because of her encouragement, words of wisdom, and gentle care of their growing and changing souls. We hope to continue her mission in our treasured space.

A few months ago we began an effort to create permanency for our beloved dance studio by negotiating the potential purchase of our building. Felicia was jumping in with two feet and a willing spirit. She offered to write letters of support, willing to ask friends and family, and gave advice on ways to solidify SLDA's legacy within our small town. The goal? Not only to secure donors to purchase our historical building, but to do so without disruption to our robust scholarship program.

It seems we now have a chance to work on the project she was so passionate about. If you are wanting to be a part of this collective effort; an effort Felicia was passionate about, please consider supporting this mission.

Help us secure a place for young artists to have a safe and constant place of artistic refuge regardless of economic status.
