Mandy Conforth

(Academy Director)
Mandy has had extensive training in various forms of dance including ballet, tap and ballroom. Mandy's love of inspiring youth also includes a past of choreographing cheer at the high school level. Mandy also volunteers at the local theatre in costuming and has performed in multiple productions with Cottage Theatre. She is currently the Academy's Director & Administrator as well as a part time instructor.

Pamela Lehan-Siegel

(Ballet, Jazz, Modern Instructor)
Ms. Lehan-Siegel began her dance training in New Jersey at the Garden State Ballet School at the age of six and now holds a B.F.A. from the University of Utah and an M.F. A. from Sarah Lawerence College. She has performed professionally with both ballet and modern dance companies including : Ballet West of Salt Lake City; in NewYork with David Parsons, Senta Driver and Pat Catterson. In addition to teaching modern dance and ballet, Ms. Lehan-Siegel is well known locally as a performer, choreographer and co-artistic director (with husband Marc Siegel) of the Dance Theatre of Oregon.

Noel Leonard

Miss Leonard received her training at the Eugene School of Ballet
beginning at age six. At sixteen years old she began dancing with the Eugene Ballet Company, performing and touring extensively for three years. In addition, Miss Leonard has spent the last three summers performing across China with the Long Beach Ballet. This is her second year (2015) teaching at South Lane Ballet Academy.







Kathryn Pearson

Kathryn has been dancing Ballet for six years and loving it.
In that time she has also taken Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop and Pointe and loved those too. She is presently a Senior in High School at Cottage Grove's Academy for Character Education. She hopes to pursue a career in the Arts, particularly dance, or at least a career in teaching others about what she loves. She enjoys every relationship she has gotten the chance to make at SLBA including the students in her own classes and the students in the classes she teaches. She would like to thank Mandy for this great opportunity and her friends for all being amazing.

Lindy Lou Smith

(Alumni Ballet Instructor)

Ms. Smith has trained for 13 years at the Eugene Ballet Academy, the affiliated school of the Eugene Ballet Company.
At age 11 she toured the Pacific Northwest with the Eugene Ballet Company featured as Fritz in The Nutcracker. As a senior member of the Eugene Youth Ballet (EYB), she has been featured in the Lane County Community Service EYB Nutcracker tour as Clara, the Doll, Spanish Treat, and Sugar Plum Fairy. Lindy Lou became a professional Company dancer with Dance Theatre of Oregon at age 13. Lindy has a love for both dance and musical theatre and has performed in multiple productions with Cottage Theatre (Dorothy in Wizard of Oz), Dance Theatre of Oregon (Snow White in Snow White), and Oregon Festival of American Music or OFAM (Dancer in Brigadoon). Lindy is currently attending the Cornish College of the Arts.
